The Admirable Ones!

I love people-watching! Anywhere and Everywhere I go, I love to observe the people around me. Macam org Melayu kata, "Banyak manusia, banyak ragam!"
Being a tv-addict, I really admire many of those lovely faces on TV, not because they're good-looking, but mainly because of their personality.

Here's a long list of the people I admire:
  1. My Dad ~ He raised me up since I was a lil brat and he's taught me many things indirectly.
  2. Oprah Winfrey ~ She's just so bloody influential and the Richest woman in the World!!!
  3. Anthony Bourdain ~ He's really got class. He takes Travel and Living to a whole new level!
  4. Nigella Lawson ~ A journalist and a fantastic cook!
  5. Steve Irwin ~ I've got loads of respect for this guy! He's done such amazing things!
  6. Teacher Navlin Philip ~ She brought me up, and never gave up on me!
  7. Aw Lee Mei & Chuah Su Chen ~ They define happy living! (Read my article!)
  8. Dr House ~ He's got such charisma. Blunt and Bold!
  9. Zorro and Batman ~ The Dark Knights are heroes without powers!
  10. Single moms ~ Pregnancy, birth, then raising kids, without men! Salute!

The world is made of such a great variety of people, we are blessed to be living with them all around us. We can never be exactly like them, and we shouldn't even try, but we must always remember that the souls that we admire is what makes life worth living, for every day in every way we are getting better in all ways.

It's officially Zara-fied!

Cheers to Mel Alfalfa!

It took a couple of hours but it's finally done. My previously dull blog has been revamped!

Special thanks goes to Lee Mei, for all her help in Zara-fying this blog. *hugs* Thank you very much Lee Mei!

Living Passionately!

Lazing on the couch with a mug of Green Tea and giving a good thought about many things, I realized, that there is a lot more to life than the usual terms of "Fun!"

I won't say I regretted these past few days since the holidays started, because I never did, even for a second. I had such a great quality time with all my good mates, going shopping, travelling with public transport (except taxi!), and just having a really good time. I've honestly never spent my holidays this well before, though I couldn't do much shopping and I owe Lee Mei and Su Chen for 20 bucks each, I really did enjoy myself all the way. The smiles and laughter, the lame jokes and silly things, it was truly fun.

Through out the ride home in Putra LRT and KTM, I felt a pang of guilt. Not to say, I've wasted a precious amount of time on money, but I discovered that there was so much that I haven't seen and done.

I've always believed that life is a journey, and maybe that's the reason why I enjoy traveling...even if its a bus ride or a KTM ride, I just love sitting by the window, and gazing at all the places I'm passing by.

To my cousins, I seem to be a Street Smart Girl, but I discovered that my 2 college buddies were the ones to really admire. Lee Mei and Su Chen really do know the twist and turns of traveling in KL. Going to KLCC with Putra LRT yesterday, made me realize how much KL has to offer.
Define Street Smart? I'll say it's basically knowing your way around, being prepared and well equipped with the right skills to face anything that happens while traveling and of course the ability to be independent. I guess I've got lots to learn.

I'm aware that I get bored very quickly. I don't like routines all that much anyway.
I feel that with the freedom that I've been finally given, there is so much I can do with it, but I'm not really doing it.

I'll say I'm very very lucky, as I've spent half of my holidays going mall-hopping with my best mates...but honestly, I don't want to visit another shopping mall in a long time.

From my experience this past week, I can conclude that:

  • ALL shopping malls are the SAME! Every shopping mall has your usual eateries, theatres, bowling alleys and clothing/accessories stores (which are high-end, excessively priced and not worth buying)
  • If you have no money, you’ll be one heck of a Depressed Shopper!Let’s face it, window shopping sucks! No matter how much you try and make yourself feel better by going “Oh Wow, that so cute” and “That’s really nice”, deep down, when you know you can’t buy it, what’s the point anyway.
  • Simple foods in shopping malls are CRAZILY priced.I swear, if I was a food critic, there are a huge amount of restaurants in malls that will close down! RM9.80 for a bloody Nasi Lemak, made up of a miserable bowl of rice, tasteless oily sambal and other condiments! It’s disgraceful, as its not even worth 50cents. The aunty at the mamak stall makes so much better nasi lemak. Tourists must think we’re mad!

Please note that I am no shop-a-holic like some of my friends, and I get bored very easily. Although I do enjoy a bit of shopping, I can’t help but think sometimes that roadside stalls have so much more to offer.

My Mall-Hopping Experience!

1. Sunway Pyramid ~ Sakae Sushi (first time sushi experience) with Peter, Victoria, Lee Mei, Su Chen and Ryna.~ J.CO, Starbucks and Popular bookstore with Heva and Steph~ all over the place with Bernard
2. MidValley Megamall (+Gardens)~ all over the place with Su Chen, Lee Mei, Ryna, Jenny and Victoria
3. Summit USJ~ Lunch with Kevin
4. KLCC (+Pavillion)~ all over the place with Si Wei, Lee Mei and Zhao Wern
5. Subang Parade~ all over the place with my broke self

*I’m saving Times Square to go with Moses…someday…lol
*Other malls have been covered already with family and friends throughout the months.

The best part of the whole mall-hopping experience throughout the week is most definitely having tea at Chilli’s yesterday. I absolutely loved it. I decided that it would be a mark to end my mall-hopping week. It was most certainly enjoyable and incredibly heart-warming. Savouring such delicious comfort food with best mates! I just loved it.

I’ve still got about another half of my holidays to go and I’m going to spend it on traveling all over the place (except shopping malls)
I’ve seen so much of the things we call fun, the times of just enjoying ourselves, just us friends watching movies, hanging out, shopping for clothes and stuff. I most certainly did have a wonderful time. Now I’m off to l see other things in life. The quaint and simple things that me drive by. I’m very grateful to my awesome college mates for all that they’ve taught me about travel and living. The experience has definitely come in handy, and it’s something I’ll never forget.

I love you guys very much! Thank you all for inviting me for all your shopping trips! It was such great fun! =)

I won't say that I refuse to step foot in another shopping mall ever again, but it might be a long time till I visit one again. Nehehe.

I plan to live my life passionately from this moment on. Traveling from one little spot to the other, seeing the sights that are not always advertised grandly and tasting the richness of life itself.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry!
Cheers!

Darling Squishy!

Today's been such a great day, because finally I went out with Si Wei (that rhymes! lol)

I miss him ever so much! It was really scary at first, because he was meeting my parents for the first time in 4 years of knowing each other! He made a pretty good impression though! Nehehe.

We took a KTM ride and a Putra LRT (my first time) to KLCC! Wheee~ lol

Met Lee Mei and Zhao Wern! Missed my sexy Lee Mei *winks* It was great to see her again! Then we all went to watch The Dark Knight! which happens to be a bloody good movie (I rate it 5 stars and its a M.U.S.T. watch!
The Popcorn chick....oh God...don't get me started... !@#&$^%

The scenes were a bit too much for me though, I covered my eyes and ears and Si Wei kept taking off my hands to make me watch *glares at Si Wei*

Zhao Wern bought new T-Shirts! I want new T-Shirts too~!

Then we went to the art gallery, my fave spot! I touched this, and touched that...nehehe Si Wei snapped at me there (am so annoying)

Oooh then we went to Chillis! I love the place! Not very date-material, so its a fantastic place for comfort food with friends! Lee Mei's "husband" didn't allow us to pay the bill, cuz he placed it on his tab! What a guy! We tipped him though...a big fat tip! Nehehe

Dangerously Delicious!

Cute lil Lee Mei! Camera loves her!

Si Wei is promoting Chilis!

Zhao Wern is eagerly slicing it!

After saying our goodbyes, we squished into a squishy KTM. I don't like KTM anymore =(

Si Wei and I got molested by the BBB (Big Butt B****) I know its mean, but I wouldn't call her that if she didn't rub her ass at us the whole time to make out with her bf! Grr!

It's bad enough that some random Indian fella was all touchy touchy with me, BBB was horrible! I coudn't take it, so I knee-ed her in the ass, till she moved away a bit!

I was so grateful to reach Si Wei's car (to take my high heels off), then I took loads of pictures to distract him while driving! (am incredibly annoying)

Then we parked at some lot near my place and took more pictures! and then we tool more pictures, and more pictures, and...(view pics on facebook)

Being seemingly "drunk" and annoying, I started shouting the "I'm too sexy..." song, all the way home.

With a few hugs later, he drove away. =(

That's Us! Squishy and Lil' Mel!

I had a lovely time today. It was really awesome! =)

Chardonay, darling?

Cheers!

The "Couples" Theory

Due to an observation done for 3 years so far, its strange but proven.

Analyze your relationships:

January till late April ~ Relationships will be rocky, and many couples might turn towards break-ups and time-outs

May till late September ~ Relationships blossom. New relationships are formed and many find love.

October till late December ~ Times get a little hard. Couples are put to the test...They ask: how long can it last? Strong bond will make it through...while others may put an end to it.

Try looking at your past relationship and see if it applies.

Musique - The Biggest Ice Breaker Of All

The event is finally over. I'm really glad it turned out great. Infact, the event was more than just the 20 marks. It taught us all lessons that we'll remember for a lifetime.

Some of us will learn about friendship, who to trust and who to believe in.

Some will learn about appreciating others and their talent.

Some will learn to accept others for who they are and learn to deal with the various kinds of people that exist.

Some will discover that they are not alone.

Many of us will see the true colours of every individual, we'll somehow learn to suit to it and realize that things are not always what they seem.

People who we thought were never going to be part of us turned out to be supportive and enthusiastic WITH us instead of against us.

Good to know we made it out alive!

One thing is for sure though, when times are hard you know who your true friends are.

Busy...Busy...Busy...

I've been terribly busy lately...its almost unfair.
I just finished my assignment...and I'm really happy its done...but suddenly...another one comes...and it's got a partner! Aaaah!

Oooh btw, I just passed my Undang Test! Nehehe. I can't wait to start driving. Heva's motivating me. She can't wait for me to drive her around. I don't mind at all, finally someone is pushing me, otherwise I'd probably still be taking taxis to and fro. Eeee.

I'm off to get some work done now. :)
