The Oreo Concept

My good friend Roselyn and I were chatting last Sunday on MSN. Note that all my conversations with her are always super fun! Nehehe.

Well I took some pictures while I was in India and I wondered if I should place it as my display picture on MSN (cuz the one I currently have on is pretty dull) So I asked Rose what she thought...

(took this picture in my hotel room, super early in the morning)
I was like "Rose what do you think of this picture?"
Rose said the following, "fierce" "model-esque" "very tyra-licious" "verryyyy indian princess-y" "like Sheena, the warrior jungle queen person thingy" "beastmaster's gf...u rmbr her?"
I immediately took the picture off~!

(took this picture cuz I had nothing better to do. I've tried this before with Ash. You stand in front of a fan or air cond in full blast and take a picture...ehehe the things we do)
Then I placed this picture and asked her the same question. Rose was like, "u look like a tamil movie actress"
I was like "ZOMG! I'M SO TAKING IT OFF!"

Nehehe. Roselyn and I, we're Oreos, in other words Celup! I love the fact she's brutally honest. Well I don't think I'm going to take pictures in a very long time though.

Tripping down memory lane.

I think I should really blog more considering my previous post was only one sentence. Nehehe.
I woke up at 9a.m today and I decided that I was going to go on a little adventure. Since we moved form the apartment few years back, I never really got the chance to go through my old high school stuff. I also told myself today that I would blog today about my trip to India.

I started digging my drawers and cupboards for photo albums and old diaries. I still keep a diary now but I dont really remember what I wrote in the previous ones. I found a bottle of scrolls that Rachel gave me before she left in Form 4 to a different school. Gosh it was really cute. In one scroll she wrote "Whatever it is...forget the past and get on with the future (but don't forget me)" One scroll really made me laugh. It was about our pact when we were 14 if I'm not mistaken. It said "Don't forget! We promise to ask each other's permission before starting a new relationship" Rach, Kat (Kimberly) and I made a pact once that if we ever did fall for a guy we would seek each other's approval before we became his girlfriend. Gosh Rach I don't think you would have ever approved ANY of the guys I dated. I picked up my phone and called Rachel but I got the Maxis lady telling me I had insufficient credit. Darn that Maxis lady. Sigh...I miss you Rachel.

Then I found my diaries. I can't believe I had so many. I wrote about all sorts of things. There was one particular diary that I wrote about someone, the entire diary was about him. I also found my little box of secrets. Okay actually it was one of the boxes of secrets. Nehehe. Inside it there were dozens of quotes from the bible on little cards and picture of Jesus. There were photos of me 3 years ago and a letter that I wrote in 2005 to myself. This is the funny pert, I also found a love letter. I can't remember who was it from. It was the most lovey dovey and mushy letter I had ever recieved. I wonder why I kept it when I never found out who the sender was. Oooh and there was a little blue umbrella. I still remember...it was from the first cocktail I secretly had. Ohh and I found something else...I'd rather not mention.

After clearing my diaries, little boxes and "thing-a-magiks" the most rubbishest thing happened. I couldn't reach the cabinets on top of my cupboard. It was way too high. So I stood on my rickety chair. My phone rang, it was Gina calling from some number (as usual) I had to pick up the phone because she rarely calls and I didn't want to dissapoint her. Being the dumb nut that I am, I decided to multi task and balanced myself on my rickety chair with the phone in one hand. I began going through my things in the high cabinet while talking to Gina, as I tiptoed on my rickety chair... everything was going well until I lost my balance. The Scrabble set I was holding came crashing down with me. I think I hit my head pretty badly because it hurt so bad that I couldn't see properly...everything was blurry. I got up after a while and found my phone. Gina was still on the line, and I told her I'd call her back or something. I actually fell asleep after hanging up. I woke up after a while and I could see properly again but my head still hurts. Sleep helped I think. My knee is swollen though, so much for a good start in the new semester tomorrow. Oh well. At least I didn't break anything.

I will blog some more later. After cleaning up the mess I made.

Heart Of Mine

Confused heart of mine
Seeking answers to define
Life, love and all that is true
Understood by very few

Fearful heart of mine
Placing precious feelings on the line
Loving deeply for the first time
If only heartbreaks were a crime

Fragile heart of mine
Has ever so much to learn
As sweet temptations she can never decline
For true love, she awaits her turn

Chocolate Indulgence

I'm stuck in the Student Lounge. It's raining heavily outside. It's dull, quiet and dark here. Plus the fact that I can't go online till next Wednesday due to my upcoming final exams. Actually, my laptop is with Heva till the end of this week, so I can't go online anyway. I reloaded my phone for one last time this month and the rest of my allowance will be spent on an exquisite cake for Heva's birthday and her bday present. (uhh if she knows where all my money has gone too, she's going to cekik me!) Nehehe

So I thought I'd cheer myself up! =)

Since I don't have much money to spend on (um well anything really)...I've decided to blog about chocolates!

MnMs!

I love MnMs they make me really happy. With all the bright colours! =)

Mars Bars (The one above is deep fried from Scotland)
Ooooh Mars Bars...

Mars Bars Cheesecake
Just when you can't get enough of Mars Bars...they make a cheesecake out of it!

Maltesers!
Gosh, I haven't eaten these in such a long time.

Rich and Pure White Chocolate!
It's just heavenly. I can't seem to find good ol' plain white chocolate anymore. Hersheys is just way too expensive. Sigh...

~Okay maybe blogging about chocolate wasn't such a good idea~

Adorable Lil' Yashie!

Darling Yashie got distracted!

The happy toddler who loves messing up my hair

No Yashie...No Bite-y!

I sat on the couch and sighed. I was having way too many thoughts in my head that I just wanted to quietly crawl to bed with my soft and fluffy pillows. Then she came...walking wobbly towards me in her little pair of Crocs. "Akkaaa" she sang loudly at me. I smiled at her and she fell right into my arms. I lifted her onto my lap. She was just too cute to resist

Yashmita loves handphones (she's pretty good at operating them too) I gave her my mobile phone and watched her press the buttons curiously. She discovered the music player feature and was fascinated when the (Mika - Lollipop) song began to play. She made all sorts of cute sounds.

It was the first time I ever took pictures with the lil kiddo, for she's always hyperactive, playing around and being irresistable. She brought out the side of me that I constantly kept hidden. I'm very fond of her infact I dare say I love Lil' Yashie very much. She may only be able to say very few words but her smile and giggles just makes you want to enthusiastically live another day just to see her grow a little more.

With Lil' Yashie there is life that is ever so wholesome, love that is ever so unconditional and just pure innocence. With Lil' Yashie, everything is just right.

Margarita & MnMs

It's late...12.25am to be exact. Part of me is online, hoping that he would come online soon. Anyway I just got home from Ash's place. We had Margaritas! It was excellent =)

I have no idea what was in it but I heard my cousin bro had added tequila in it. We converted the kitchen into a mini bar (darn I should have taken pictures) but we had to keep it to ourselves...apparently we 18 year olds are still considered young.

We hid our glasses when adults came but I was laughing (due to some crappy joke) and that was it, I was caught red handed with tequila induced Margarita! I tried every innocent look I knew, nothing worked against the shocked stares that were flung at me, and at that very moment my cousin went "Cheers Mel" ...there goes my innocent lil Mel reputation...

I didn't give up my glass, I drank it all up gave a cheeky smile and said goodbye. It was pretty strong stuff for me, I sat in my aunt's Vios and stared into space for a while. Then...

The strangest thing happened...I heard Mathew's voice, he was singing to me, a song that was just too familiar but I couldn't remember what the title was. His voice changed and he said something in a deep and serious tone..but before he could finish what he wanted to say his voice was drowned by Bee Gees singing How Deep Is Your Love
(I could have kicked the radio in rage but I was just baffled with the fact that I could hear him when he wasn't even there)

I guess I've just spoke to him a lot lately. I couldn't really make out what he was saying but I remembered the song. It was Robi Draco Rosa - Crash Push (Mas Y Mas) I'd love to hear him sing it but like Mathew said "It'll be too romantic"

Within Me

Fingers play the common tune
Eyes search through sites on the bright screen
Lips smile as my mind deems
Sweet thoughts and perpetual dreams

Beyond this harsh reality
I’m lost between rhythms divine
A fantasy far from what I imagined
Only your presence nearby

Somehow I feel consumed
By time and space
Numerous questions surface
Answers required from a familiar face

At this point I remain
Living in a roller coaster ride
Without a destination
Waiting for the anguish of others to subside

A glance at the mirror
A brush through my wavy hair
Silence turned furor
Darkness breaks into a bright glare

Immersed in the bliss of melody
Passion becomes ecstasy
My love, I beseech your patience
To wait for me
Till time sets us free

Friends Forever True

Like a shining star in the night sky
Glistening brightly in every eye
It’s rare as a precious jewel
But the qualities are never cruel

Such joy it brings
Like a diamond wedding ring
A priceless smile, a genuine grin
Nothing’s more valuable than love without a sting

As clear as a mirror reflection
It’s indeed an enchanting illusion
Some words may turn into an action
When we hurt without intention

Yet the sun is always warm
As the sky will forever be blue
For there’s a perpetual bond
In every being, forever true

In every seed there’s a flower
Every believing soul brings wonder
A cordial handshake, a sweet smile
And every barren land will be fertile

For each lock there’s a key
For every mistake forgive and set free
Why fight when you can make peace
Why lose one when you can make three

Even when heavy clouds start to rain
Even when you feel there isn’t any gain
Out of the millions you know and love
There will always be one to wipe your tears
And bring you back above

Each being who lends a hand
Short or tall, poor or grand
If you can help each other to stand
Indeed you truly are a great friend.

"Nurse Love!" he decided and I agreed.

He deciphered me within the hour. He figured me out so well (that even I did not think of things being that way) He understood me. He read me like a book. I found him interesting.
Strange that you were strong enough, To even make a start

I did not judge him, but I had those "first impressions" Just when I thought I knew him, he proved me wrong. Just when I thought I won, he defeated me at my own game. My own weapons against me. I was now aware that he was very slick.
When you need the hand of another man, One you really can surrender with

Learn I sure did. Tongue tied and in awe. Smiling in solemn defeat. He was impressively suave. I smiled again and laughed realizing how he simply caught my words and threw it back at me. I had finally met my match.
Fooled me with the tears in your eyes, Covered me with kisses and lies

He sees the world from a unique perspective. His thoughts, ideas and mindset, varies from others. In some ways I found him to be very much similar to myself. Not many would understand him, for very few would even try to do so. Maybe a bit of Romeo and a tad bit of Casanova but he was different. I discovered a whole new side of him.
There's something there, That can't compare with any other

"Dr Love!" he defined himself and I agreed (knowing what it truly meant)

*For Mathew V, who made me see, deeply.

5 People, 5 Dreams, 5 Years and One Goal - Happiness

Five friends, Rajiv (Dino Morea), Ishita (Anjori Alagh), Jai (Sameer Dattani), Monica (Nauheed Cyrusi) and Manish (Aftab Shivdasani), get drunk on their last day in college, and place a bet of Rs.500 among themselves, each claiming s/he will be the happiest in life. They give each other five years to win the bet. Rajiv says happiness means success. He becomes the best enterpreneur of the country. Jai thinks happiness means power. He becomes the youngest member of the Parliament. Monica says happiness means fame. She becomes a leading actress. Ishita thinks happiness means money. She marries a business tycoon. Manish is not a part of the bet. He wants plain happiness, which comes by itself. He keeps the bet amount with himself, and is to judge the winner after five years.

This movie relates to each and every one of us in one way or another. We're all chasing happiness, it's an endless pursuit As we define it in our own terms thus making it complicated and difficult to acheive. Along the way, we face obstacles such as people who stab us in the back and the front, jealousy, lies and sometimes even the bitter truth. Happiness is how we define it, and how we strive for it. At the end of the road we might realize that what we thought could make us happy only backfired at us. Success, power, fame and fortune are the goals we aim and strive hard for but it should not be our definition of ultmate happiness...because the simplest things in life makes it worth living.

Birthday with Buddies!

It was one of those really hot days, a Tuesday to be exact, 23rd of September 2008. Heva and I took a bus from campus immediately after Ms. Natasha's class, directly to Peter's house.
By the time we got there, our favorite chef's were already at work, with their forks and knives, pots and pans cooking an extravagant lunch. It was not a usual sight, these were the guys we messed around with everyday...seeing them in their working Chef mode was a rare and unforgettable sight.
A hour and a half later they came up with this main course. Its a French dish (and I can't pronounce it neither can i spell it), so I'll just tell you in English. :)
Honey Roasted Chicken with a special French sauce
Sauteed French Beans and Carrots
Potatoes and Cheese
Shallots cooked with wine
It was really good!

Heva and Peter digging in.

Jaya enjoying his dish that took a lot of hard work.

Actually before the main course, we had an Appetizer. Diced vegetables with a different version of Thousand Island sauce. We call it the P&J Sauce. With poached eggs.

Justine came in for lunch too, but she left early after helping us with the washing up, as she had to buy a few things.

For dessert (a surprise dessert) we had Vanilla Ice Cream with Macademia Nuts. Yum!

Heva, Peter and Jaya, lazing around after a really good meal.

We watched a bit of Braveheart. Only a bit...we sort of dozed of in Peter's living room. We talked, laughed, and got tickled! It was great fun. It was a fantastic day, one I'll never forget.

La Dolce Vita

It's been a while since I've been to Starbucks and had my usual Hazelnut Hot Chocolate. Somehow, I've always found refuge in the little Starbucks cafe near my place. Though its pretty costly, but I'd empty every ringgit from my wallet with no regrets (most of the time)

Some find peace in the Himalayas, some find it in the arms of their loved ones and some find it in shopping trips. My idea of peace would be huddled up in their big and comfy green couch with a mug of hot chocolate and a really good book. I decided today would be one of those days...and so I walked in the heavy rain to Starbucks to find what they call peace and what I call a slice of heaven.

I'm halfway through this excellent book of three stages. In some strange way, its as though, this book was written for me. Every sentence I read was somehow related to my life of 17 years (soon to be 18) I decided today would be the beginning of the life the Italians call La Dolce Vita for me, it was time for change...

I kicked off my new Nike trainers and sipped my mug of hot chocolate comfortably. It was raining heavily outside and the windows were awfully misty. Jazz music filled the little cafe and I absolutely loved everything about it. I would make little decisions today and bigger decisions later on. I found myself being myself again, something that I've forgotten to be in a while.
I decided today would be the moment I would remind myself who I really am and always will be.

I'm aware of the fact that view things rather differently than most. I'm not sure of the reason why but I'm glad that I do. Sunk in that lush green couch I realized that the most precious thing I've ever had was my love for independence. I was never served with independence on a silver platter (heck, my parents would not say "Yes" to most of the things I prefer to do alone, for good reasons) I found independence, by travelling around on my own, visiting little places that people often drive by and doing many things with just me, myself and I.
I decided today that I am no loner, nor am I a tourist, I'm an independent woman on a search for everything.

I left the dreamy little Starbucks cafe, out into the grey skies pouring with rain. I found myself being grateful and contented, for the first time in a long time. I decided today that I would live life like never before, because this time, I found a million reasons to enjoy it with a smile.

With/Without You

You're the loving one, that holds me tight. You're the patient one whenever we fight. You listen as I rant, and when I being difficult, you always try to put up with me. You know how to make me laugh, and irritate me most of the time. You have an answer for everything and always try to shut me up when I'm being silly. I thought I was the practical one, till I met you.

I know it's hard for you, with exams, expectations and all. With me being emo and manja-fied half the time, it's really not easy on you. For being sweet and tolerant, trusting me and trying your best for me. I love you.

I miss you too. It irritates me that you're so busy now. I know you promised me that after this week, you're all mine, I guess I don't have a choice but to wait for you. I won't share you with anyone after this. Nehehe

I never thought I'd say it, but I'm lucky to have you. No matter how much you bully me, I know you love me, and I know you'll treat me right like you always do.

Perhaps patience is a virtue that you possess and I need it too. I can't assure you I'll smile truthfully without you for now, but I'll be fine when you're back...when I'm with you.

Sore and Sweet

Its really funny, how Big Guy upstairs plays tricks with you.

I refuse to comment about the meeting in the morning.

Sweet point 1,
I took a bus with Peter to Taipan, to meet Him in Secret Recipe. It was cut short to 2 and a half hours, but it was a great! We ate, took loads of pictures...we really had a great time.
He left, he offered me a ride, but I didn't want to trouble him, because it was out of his way.
So I took a bus.

Sore point 1,

I'm supposed to go to Subang Parade. The bus ended up in Summit. Took another bus, which ended up opposite Sunway Pyramid.

Sore point 2,

Tried to cross the highway...the pedestrian bridge was too far. In the middle of the highway, CRACK! my right heel snapped! An ugly lorry fella, honks the living heck out of me! Shocked and Frightened, I limp as fast as I can across. I made it ALIVE! (well duhh!) Feeling frustrated, terribly insecure, upset, terrified and a whole lot of other crap. I clenched my teeth, tried my hardest not to cry, break my left heel to make it even and I take another bus.

Sweet point 2,

I meet a friend of mine from INTI college. We're close. He walks me to the bus station, after talking to me for a while. He does something very whole heartedly which caught me by surprise. He just knew how to make me feel okay again. Gathering up my courage again, I take another bus to Subang Parade, in my broken heels. No matter what, I had to get a birthday present for my Dad's birthday tommorow.

Sore point 3,

I'm in MPH, Subang Parade. I found the book that my Dad really likes, which is cheaper than the rest but still over budget. Opening my wallet, I realize I'm short of two ringgit! I kneel at a corner, empty my handbag, dig out all the 5, 10 and 20 cents I can find. Manage to cough out enough money, but there is ABSOLUTELY NO MONEY in my wallet except 2x 5cents. My only hope to get home is my TouchNGo.

Sore point 4,

Finally the right bus arives, my feet hurt terrible due to the broken heels. I feel accomplished though. I board the bus and scan the card. It says KAD ANDA GAGAL!!! I do again, same thing appears! I stare at it, I'm on the verge of losing all hope. I do it one more time. It finally works. Praise the Lord!

Conclusion,
I'm glad I made it home, I have no money at all, but I have the gift. My feet hurt so bad, but I had a good time with Him. I still feel horribly insecure, but I realized once again that I have really great friends.

I hate to say it but Nenek was right, It's high time I stop being fussy and too complacently single. It's time to bloody accept a boyfriend.

For Hong Kong Boy!

Pinched!

Dear Hong Kong Boy,
As you fly off to China,
Don't forget that I'll still be here with Sharon and Sheena,
We'll miss you lots in hot and humid Malaysia,
Make sure you visit us end of this year.

I'll never forget the time we flood the kitchen,
Laughing and mopping the floor with Sharon,
Luckily you caught me when I slipped,
No more dinners but at least we didn't get whipped.

When you visit Disneyland, say "Hi" to Mickey,
Remember to bring back something for me,
I'll miss the Belgian Chocolates you'd bring,
As well as your new and shiny things.

Thanks to you, I've picked up Tamil, well quite,
Which is quite amazing, as I can only speak a bit,
You told me, though in China, you'll get an Indian bride,
So your "don't-call-me-Akka" will make sure of it.

Keep studying hard and smart,
And don't you forget Taekwando,
One day we'll spar and I'll whack you hard,
Though you're very bright, there's still much to know.

Do keep in touch at all times,
Even if your I-phone doesn't function,
There's always Skype, MSN and Malaysia Airlines,
No excuse, for no communication.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you,
How cheerful and fun you are,
Keep that smile on and be true,
For you're a real star.

Last but not least, Miss Rani is always here,
She'll miss you and Hari too,
With loads of hugs and a pinch on your cheek,
Take care hon' and I sayang you!

Indianized

"Mummy, what if Daddy did not name me Meliza, what would you have named me?" I asked my mother. She grinned and said she'd name me Priya. I was like, thank God, Daddy named me Meliza. Lol

I'm not exactly very Indian myself, I don't quite get along with them, as I don't speak the language. Friends is one thing, heck I've never even dated a proper Indian guy before...Aaron James thinks I'm a racist of my own race...lol

Honestly, Indians are very beautiful people. Their rich and colourful culture, music, dance, food and literature, it's simply amazing.

In the study of Demographic profiles of people, you can actually see how Indian communities differ according to their location and influence. One great example, is the protrayal of indian actors and actresses in Tamil and Hindi movies.

Bollywood movies tend to stand out more compared to Tamil movies because of its soft and gentle elements. Even movies that are dubbed in Hindi have those elements that simply attracts viewers. In the Tamil movie, the guy would be swaying on his motorcycle screaming, "SHE SMILED AT ME!!!" but the same movie dubbed in Hindi, the guy would be have a huge smile on his face while showing of some stunts on his motorcycle.

Tamil movies have their own sense of getting the message across as well, however it really depends on the audience.

Well, I guess we can only hope that the Indian guys in Malaysia learn a thing or two from Shah Rukh Khan. I'm not sure about other Indian girls but my idea of romance certainly doesn't include running around hills, throwing shawls up in the air and hugging my beau over and over again.

If I could Indianize my name, I think I would call myself, Madhumita! Nehehe
On second thought...

The Admirable Ones!

I love people-watching! Anywhere and Everywhere I go, I love to observe the people around me. Macam org Melayu kata, "Banyak manusia, banyak ragam!"
Being a tv-addict, I really admire many of those lovely faces on TV, not because they're good-looking, but mainly because of their personality.

Here's a long list of the people I admire:
  1. My Dad ~ He raised me up since I was a lil brat and he's taught me many things indirectly.
  2. Oprah Winfrey ~ She's just so bloody influential and the Richest woman in the World!!!
  3. Anthony Bourdain ~ He's really got class. He takes Travel and Living to a whole new level!
  4. Nigella Lawson ~ A journalist and a fantastic cook!
  5. Steve Irwin ~ I've got loads of respect for this guy! He's done such amazing things!
  6. Teacher Navlin Philip ~ She brought me up, and never gave up on me!
  7. Aw Lee Mei & Chuah Su Chen ~ They define happy living! (Read my article!)
  8. Dr House ~ He's got such charisma. Blunt and Bold!
  9. Zorro and Batman ~ The Dark Knights are heroes without powers!
  10. Single moms ~ Pregnancy, birth, then raising kids, without men! Salute!

The world is made of such a great variety of people, we are blessed to be living with them all around us. We can never be exactly like them, and we shouldn't even try, but we must always remember that the souls that we admire is what makes life worth living, for every day in every way we are getting better in all ways.

It's officially Zara-fied!

Cheers to Mel Alfalfa!

It took a couple of hours but it's finally done. My previously dull blog has been revamped!

Special thanks goes to Lee Mei, for all her help in Zara-fying this blog. *hugs* Thank you very much Lee Mei!

Living Passionately!

Lazing on the couch with a mug of Green Tea and giving a good thought about many things, I realized, that there is a lot more to life than the usual terms of "Fun!"

I won't say I regretted these past few days since the holidays started, because I never did, even for a second. I had such a great quality time with all my good mates, going shopping, travelling with public transport (except taxi!), and just having a really good time. I've honestly never spent my holidays this well before, though I couldn't do much shopping and I owe Lee Mei and Su Chen for 20 bucks each, I really did enjoy myself all the way. The smiles and laughter, the lame jokes and silly things, it was truly fun.

Through out the ride home in Putra LRT and KTM, I felt a pang of guilt. Not to say, I've wasted a precious amount of time on money, but I discovered that there was so much that I haven't seen and done.

I've always believed that life is a journey, and maybe that's the reason why I enjoy traveling...even if its a bus ride or a KTM ride, I just love sitting by the window, and gazing at all the places I'm passing by.

To my cousins, I seem to be a Street Smart Girl, but I discovered that my 2 college buddies were the ones to really admire. Lee Mei and Su Chen really do know the twist and turns of traveling in KL. Going to KLCC with Putra LRT yesterday, made me realize how much KL has to offer.
Define Street Smart? I'll say it's basically knowing your way around, being prepared and well equipped with the right skills to face anything that happens while traveling and of course the ability to be independent. I guess I've got lots to learn.

I'm aware that I get bored very quickly. I don't like routines all that much anyway.
I feel that with the freedom that I've been finally given, there is so much I can do with it, but I'm not really doing it.

I'll say I'm very very lucky, as I've spent half of my holidays going mall-hopping with my best mates...but honestly, I don't want to visit another shopping mall in a long time.

From my experience this past week, I can conclude that:

  • ALL shopping malls are the SAME! Every shopping mall has your usual eateries, theatres, bowling alleys and clothing/accessories stores (which are high-end, excessively priced and not worth buying)
  • If you have no money, you’ll be one heck of a Depressed Shopper!Let’s face it, window shopping sucks! No matter how much you try and make yourself feel better by going “Oh Wow, that so cute” and “That’s really nice”, deep down, when you know you can’t buy it, what’s the point anyway.
  • Simple foods in shopping malls are CRAZILY priced.I swear, if I was a food critic, there are a huge amount of restaurants in malls that will close down! RM9.80 for a bloody Nasi Lemak, made up of a miserable bowl of rice, tasteless oily sambal and other condiments! It’s disgraceful, as its not even worth 50cents. The aunty at the mamak stall makes so much better nasi lemak. Tourists must think we’re mad!

Please note that I am no shop-a-holic like some of my friends, and I get bored very easily. Although I do enjoy a bit of shopping, I can’t help but think sometimes that roadside stalls have so much more to offer.

My Mall-Hopping Experience!

1. Sunway Pyramid ~ Sakae Sushi (first time sushi experience) with Peter, Victoria, Lee Mei, Su Chen and Ryna.~ J.CO, Starbucks and Popular bookstore with Heva and Steph~ all over the place with Bernard
2. MidValley Megamall (+Gardens)~ all over the place with Su Chen, Lee Mei, Ryna, Jenny and Victoria
3. Summit USJ~ Lunch with Kevin
4. KLCC (+Pavillion)~ all over the place with Si Wei, Lee Mei and Zhao Wern
5. Subang Parade~ all over the place with my broke self

*I’m saving Times Square to go with Moses…someday…lol
*Other malls have been covered already with family and friends throughout the months.

The best part of the whole mall-hopping experience throughout the week is most definitely having tea at Chilli’s yesterday. I absolutely loved it. I decided that it would be a mark to end my mall-hopping week. It was most certainly enjoyable and incredibly heart-warming. Savouring such delicious comfort food with best mates! I just loved it.

I’ve still got about another half of my holidays to go and I’m going to spend it on traveling all over the place (except shopping malls)
I’ve seen so much of the things we call fun, the times of just enjoying ourselves, just us friends watching movies, hanging out, shopping for clothes and stuff. I most certainly did have a wonderful time. Now I’m off to l see other things in life. The quaint and simple things that me drive by. I’m very grateful to my awesome college mates for all that they’ve taught me about travel and living. The experience has definitely come in handy, and it’s something I’ll never forget.

I love you guys very much! Thank you all for inviting me for all your shopping trips! It was such great fun! =)

I won't say that I refuse to step foot in another shopping mall ever again, but it might be a long time till I visit one again. Nehehe.

I plan to live my life passionately from this moment on. Traveling from one little spot to the other, seeing the sights that are not always advertised grandly and tasting the richness of life itself.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry!
Cheers!

Darling Squishy!

Today's been such a great day, because finally I went out with Si Wei (that rhymes! lol)

I miss him ever so much! It was really scary at first, because he was meeting my parents for the first time in 4 years of knowing each other! He made a pretty good impression though! Nehehe.

We took a KTM ride and a Putra LRT (my first time) to KLCC! Wheee~ lol

Met Lee Mei and Zhao Wern! Missed my sexy Lee Mei *winks* It was great to see her again! Then we all went to watch The Dark Knight! which happens to be a bloody good movie (I rate it 5 stars and its a M.U.S.T. watch!
The Popcorn chick....oh God...don't get me started... !@#&$^%

The scenes were a bit too much for me though, I covered my eyes and ears and Si Wei kept taking off my hands to make me watch *glares at Si Wei*

Zhao Wern bought new T-Shirts! I want new T-Shirts too~!

Then we went to the art gallery, my fave spot! I touched this, and touched that...nehehe Si Wei snapped at me there (am so annoying)

Oooh then we went to Chillis! I love the place! Not very date-material, so its a fantastic place for comfort food with friends! Lee Mei's "husband" didn't allow us to pay the bill, cuz he placed it on his tab! What a guy! We tipped him though...a big fat tip! Nehehe

Dangerously Delicious!

Cute lil Lee Mei! Camera loves her!

Si Wei is promoting Chilis!

Zhao Wern is eagerly slicing it!

After saying our goodbyes, we squished into a squishy KTM. I don't like KTM anymore =(

Si Wei and I got molested by the BBB (Big Butt B****) I know its mean, but I wouldn't call her that if she didn't rub her ass at us the whole time to make out with her bf! Grr!

It's bad enough that some random Indian fella was all touchy touchy with me, BBB was horrible! I coudn't take it, so I knee-ed her in the ass, till she moved away a bit!

I was so grateful to reach Si Wei's car (to take my high heels off), then I took loads of pictures to distract him while driving! (am incredibly annoying)

Then we parked at some lot near my place and took more pictures! and then we tool more pictures, and more pictures, and...(view pics on facebook)

Being seemingly "drunk" and annoying, I started shouting the "I'm too sexy..." song, all the way home.

With a few hugs later, he drove away. =(

That's Us! Squishy and Lil' Mel!

I had a lovely time today. It was really awesome! =)

Chardonay, darling?

Cheers!

The "Couples" Theory

Due to an observation done for 3 years so far, its strange but proven.

Analyze your relationships:

January till late April ~ Relationships will be rocky, and many couples might turn towards break-ups and time-outs

May till late September ~ Relationships blossom. New relationships are formed and many find love.

October till late December ~ Times get a little hard. Couples are put to the test...They ask: how long can it last? Strong bond will make it through...while others may put an end to it.

Try looking at your past relationship and see if it applies.

Musique - The Biggest Ice Breaker Of All

The event is finally over. I'm really glad it turned out great. Infact, the event was more than just the 20 marks. It taught us all lessons that we'll remember for a lifetime.

Some of us will learn about friendship, who to trust and who to believe in.

Some will learn about appreciating others and their talent.

Some will learn to accept others for who they are and learn to deal with the various kinds of people that exist.

Some will discover that they are not alone.

Many of us will see the true colours of every individual, we'll somehow learn to suit to it and realize that things are not always what they seem.

People who we thought were never going to be part of us turned out to be supportive and enthusiastic WITH us instead of against us.

Good to know we made it out alive!

One thing is for sure though, when times are hard you know who your true friends are.

Busy...Busy...Busy...

I've been terribly busy lately...its almost unfair.
I just finished my assignment...and I'm really happy its done...but suddenly...another one comes...and it's got a partner! Aaaah!

Oooh btw, I just passed my Undang Test! Nehehe. I can't wait to start driving. Heva's motivating me. She can't wait for me to drive her around. I don't mind at all, finally someone is pushing me, otherwise I'd probably still be taking taxis to and fro. Eeee.

I'm off to get some work done now. :)

You Were Right, Love!

How true...you said once that everything would just collect dust...and you couldn't be more right...
Holding my lovely Spanish guitar. That my father silently suffered to pay. I find it dusty. It must be from all the time it had spent in the corner, since you left.
It's such a beautiful instrument, I was incredibly passionate about it...but I quit classes, for there was no longer a reason or rhythm any longer.
Every string plays an awkward tune...sour notes....just like the bitterness you've left in me.
What irony!
I'm just like this guitar...in the corner, dusty, ignored, cast aside and forgotten. I wonder if it would ever play those passionate tunes ever again...

I didn't write this...i wouldn't write this...but I could

I miss you.I miss everything we were supposed to have been.I miss your consuming, jealous, indifferent, distant and inconvenient love. I miss the person you used to be with me, I miss your silly jokes and your special way of caring.I miss your attempts of nasty talks with me, I miss the ways you had of showing me how much I meant to you.I miss meaning something to you.I miss being myself, because without you I don´t make any sense.I hate this silence inside, this void that brings me to tears every day. I hate this loneliness, the feeling of living my life without you. I hate this numbness, I hate this feeling in my stomach that tells me you´re not coming back…that you were never really here. I hate having believed in you, I hate that I bought all of your lies. I hate that I can´t even listen to the same songs I did when we were together. I hate it that I fell so deeply for you and you caught me just to let me know how it would be like when you let me go.It hurts every single detail that reminds me of your existence. It hurts having to say goodbye to the one thing I wasn´t willing to give up on, the one thing that I tried to hold on to . It hurts to search for the reasons but not be able to find them. It hurts knowing you had moved on before you ended it. It hurt when you gave me a list of reasons when I asked for explications. It hurts that you´re still all that I want.It hurts having to forget the past three years. It hurts losing more than a love, but a friend. It´s like I´m reaching out and you´re not there, it´s like a constant battle I know I´ll never overcome, it´s like feeling stupid for being so sensitive when I wanna be tough and indifferent. I want it back and I want it to be over once and for all. I want you but you don´t want me. I want to find real love but I only want it from you. I want you to realize what you´re missing and I wanna make you fight for me. I wanna believe everything I just listed is remotely possible.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday! You’re 18 today! Wow, it’s been a year since you left. I sure am glad that you’re doing just fine, though I struggled painfully, left behind.

I’m sure you’re doing very well there. The weather must be great over there too. What happen to your plans on coming back, you told me once that you’d come back to see me, since I’m the nearest person to visit when you leave the airport, guess you forgot about that…
It’s alright, you forget all the time, like how you forgot my birthday last year, and how you forgot to reply the emails I sent you. It’s fine, everything’s fine with me.
Don’t ask me if I’ve met anyone yet, like you asked me the last time, because each time I meet someone, I see your face instead, and it scares me, for I know I’m just going to get hurt, just like I did in those 3 years when you were around. I hope you’re having a good life there, I wouldn’t want you to walk in and out of another girl’s life. I’m just glad that this year I don’t have to get you anything [though I wanted to send you a gift via Airmail but I’m really broke at the moment] but I know you won’t mind, because its like you said, it will just collect dust.
Guess what, I’ve started college. I’m in the college that you’re supposed to be in. But I’m really glad you’re not here. I can’t let you mess up my college life too…
When you left, I almost screwed up my SPM. It’s funny actually, because when we broke up, it was right before PMR. The lucky thing is, I became a nerd over night, gave up on everything to get the A’s that you could have gotten without doing a thing.
I’m still a doormat, a pushover, a sore loser that just can’t help doing things for people. You made me that way, for I gave you everything you wanted, and never said No!

Happy Birthday! You’re 18 today! Sadly, I still miss you. Perhaps I’ll see you one day.

Simply Complicated

Like Ryan said...Dots really do describe that something's wrong...
I don't understand people sometimes.
You do something, they get upset. You don't do anything, they get upset. So what the heck am I supposed to do??
There are 2 options in life..the easy way opr the hard way. So if you're given the easy way out...why take the hard way??
Oh well...like I said...I'll just take my losses and be on my way...

I've been tracked! lol

<<< *gasps* its Zanne

<<< Heva darling!
Its been another sleepy day for me. I slept at 4 a.m after talking to Bernard and getting my assignments done. Sigh...I should get some sleep before Heva comes after me.
Lee Mei, babe, you really have the nerve..lol. Lee Mei had nothing better to do. So we boarded an empty elevator....pressed all the buttons and visited every floor. We just couldn't stop laughing..and we blamed Ernest as the "culprit". ROFL!
The re was this woman who entered the lift, the poor woman had to take a ride all the way to the 10th floor and down again to her destination. Gosh! We're so evil! Nehehe

<<< Aww... Su Chen and Lee Mei *evilness* nehehe jk

Planet Shakers Concert [...the first but defintely not the last!]

<<<>

My first Planet Shakers Concert! Infact, it was my first concert ever! As Si Wei said, it was a life changing experience. It was just simply amazing. The band sang with such spirit. Everyone was shouting their lungs out, singing in praise to the Lord. I've never felt more accepted and free in my life. I didnt have to whisper my prayer, prevent myself from saying the Lord's name, nor did i have to look left and right before I praise him...for once in my life I was truly free! As the song 'Beautiful Saviour' played, I couldn't control myself, I begun to cry. I felt so happy, so lifted, so free! I loved every moment of the concert. Every single moment of it. I bought their latest album 'Free' and I even managed to get the band to autograph the CD. The band was really friendly. For the first time in my life, I truly felt free. Freedom in the name of Jesus. Like I said, it was my first Planet Shakers Concert...but defintely not the last.

And The He Came Along...

Meeting Peter again after so long truly was fantastic. I really miss the guy. It was really nice of him to give me a ride home. Hope Peter gets well soon.
The girls and I went shopping in Sunway. It was my first time at Carl's Jr and it was really good. I loved it. Then we shopped around for sponsors for our event. From Delifrance to Bread Story to Secret Recipe...we tried them all. Later we went shopping for a funky pink outfit in conjunction with the dress code for Orientation Nite! I managed to get a really nice pink top which costs RM49.90...I just closed one eye, took a deep breath and paid for it. The girls headed off to TGV cinemas for their job interview while I headed home. A pretty good day I'd say!

...and then I watched him go...wishing he stayed...

P.S. the guy is a fictional character

Just Doing Fine!

Celebrating Silence!

Yeah its amazing how I got that far. Today I actually understood what it meant to be silent and resigned.

I surrender today...and the days that follow.

I refuse to put up with excessive drama...in any way. I'd prefer to walk away. I don't want to put up with unwanted memories. I'd prefer to runaway.

Perhaps I care too much, perhaps I love them too much...knowing that I shouldn't. But I know at some point I really do.
I don't want to be involved in a battle of buddies. Never went through all that crap.
I'm just very fond of ZH and Heva. I just can't bear to see them upset or unwell. I don't expect anything from them. They're very pretty girls, guys could screw them up or worse some freaky girls might mess up their lives. I just can't let that happen to them. Sigh...I'm terribly fond of them.
If some stupid drama comes up and puts ZH in a horrid situation...whichever idiot did it better start wishing he/she was far away from me...
But then again I'll just pick up the pieces and be on my way...like I have to do all the time.

I'm doing just fine.

My Awesome College Mates!

That's Us! ~Suzanne, Zhao Wern, Meliza, Nikki, Angelyn and Jacinta! Darling Zhao Wern and Me
Zanne, Jacinta and Me!

Evilness ~ Jacinta and Me!

Some of the pictures during Angelyn's birthday party! @ Jack's Place in Sunway Pyramid.

First And Foremost

Its been ages since I've actually sat down to write. I'm not going to let it all slip away, so after much though I've decided to come up with this blog. Simple it may be...but I'll put my heart and soul in it. I'm sure of that. :)
