5 People, 5 Dreams, 5 Years and One Goal - Happiness

Five friends, Rajiv (Dino Morea), Ishita (Anjori Alagh), Jai (Sameer Dattani), Monica (Nauheed Cyrusi) and Manish (Aftab Shivdasani), get drunk on their last day in college, and place a bet of Rs.500 among themselves, each claiming s/he will be the happiest in life. They give each other five years to win the bet. Rajiv says happiness means success. He becomes the best enterpreneur of the country. Jai thinks happiness means power. He becomes the youngest member of the Parliament. Monica says happiness means fame. She becomes a leading actress. Ishita thinks happiness means money. She marries a business tycoon. Manish is not a part of the bet. He wants plain happiness, which comes by itself. He keeps the bet amount with himself, and is to judge the winner after five years.

This movie relates to each and every one of us in one way or another. We're all chasing happiness, it's an endless pursuit As we define it in our own terms thus making it complicated and difficult to acheive. Along the way, we face obstacles such as people who stab us in the back and the front, jealousy, lies and sometimes even the bitter truth. Happiness is how we define it, and how we strive for it. At the end of the road we might realize that what we thought could make us happy only backfired at us. Success, power, fame and fortune are the goals we aim and strive hard for but it should not be our definition of ultmate happiness...because the simplest things in life makes it worth living.
