Within Me

Fingers play the common tune
Eyes search through sites on the bright screen
Lips smile as my mind deems
Sweet thoughts and perpetual dreams

Beyond this harsh reality
I’m lost between rhythms divine
A fantasy far from what I imagined
Only your presence nearby

Somehow I feel consumed
By time and space
Numerous questions surface
Answers required from a familiar face

At this point I remain
Living in a roller coaster ride
Without a destination
Waiting for the anguish of others to subside

A glance at the mirror
A brush through my wavy hair
Silence turned furor
Darkness breaks into a bright glare

Immersed in the bliss of melody
Passion becomes ecstasy
