Sore and Sweet
I refuse to comment about the meeting in the morning.
Sweet point 1,
I took a bus with Peter to Taipan, to meet Him in Secret Recipe. It was cut short to 2 and a half hours, but it was a great! We ate, took loads of pictures...we really had a great time.
He left, he offered me a ride, but I didn't want to trouble him, because it was out of his way.
So I took a bus.
Sore point 1,
I'm supposed to go to Subang Parade. The bus ended up in Summit. Took another bus, which ended up opposite Sunway Pyramid.
Sore point 2,
Tried to cross the highway...the pedestrian bridge was too far. In the middle of the highway, CRACK! my right heel snapped! An ugly lorry fella, honks the living heck out of me! Shocked and Frightened, I limp as fast as I can across. I made it ALIVE! (well duhh!) Feeling frustrated, terribly insecure, upset, terrified and a whole lot of other crap. I clenched my teeth, tried my hardest not to cry, break my left heel to make it even and I take another bus.
Sweet point 2,
I meet a friend of mine from INTI college. We're close. He walks me to the bus station, after talking to me for a while. He does something very whole heartedly which caught me by surprise. He just knew how to make me feel okay again. Gathering up my courage again, I take another bus to Subang Parade, in my broken heels. No matter what, I had to get a birthday present for my Dad's birthday tommorow.
Sore point 3,
I'm in MPH, Subang Parade. I found the book that my Dad really likes, which is cheaper than the rest but still over budget. Opening my wallet, I realize I'm short of two ringgit! I kneel at a corner, empty my handbag, dig out all the 5, 10 and 20 cents I can find. Manage to cough out enough money, but there is ABSOLUTELY NO MONEY in my wallet except 2x 5cents. My only hope to get home is my TouchNGo.
Sore point 4,
Finally the right bus arives, my feet hurt terrible due to the broken heels. I feel accomplished though. I board the bus and scan the card. It says KAD ANDA GAGAL!!! I do again, same thing appears! I stare at it, I'm on the verge of losing all hope. I do it one more time. It finally works. Praise the Lord!
Conclusion,
I'm glad I made it home, I have no money at all, but I have the gift. My feet hurt so bad, but I had a good time with Him. I still feel horribly insecure, but I realized once again that I have really great friends.
I hate to say it but Nenek was right, It's high time I stop being fussy and too complacently single. It's time to bloody accept a boyfriend.

Indianized
I'm not exactly very Indian myself, I don't quite get along with them, as I don't speak the language. Friends is one thing, heck I've never even dated a proper Indian guy before...Aaron James thinks I'm a racist of my own race...lol
Honestly, Indians are very beautiful people. Their rich and colourful culture, music, dance, food and literature, it's simply amazing.
In the study of Demographic profiles of people, you can actually see how Indian communities differ according to their location and influence. One great example, is the protrayal of indian actors and actresses in Tamil and Hindi movies.
Bollywood movies tend to stand out more compared to Tamil movies because of its soft and gentle elements. Even movies that are dubbed in Hindi have those elements that simply attracts viewers. In the Tamil movie, the guy would be swaying on his motorcycle screaming, "SHE SMILED AT ME!!!" but the same movie dubbed in Hindi, the guy would be have a huge smile on his face while showing of some stunts on his motorcycle.
Tamil movies have their own sense of getting the message across as well, however it really depends on the audience.
Well, I guess we can only hope that the Indian guys in Malaysia learn a thing or two from Shah Rukh Khan. I'm not sure about other Indian girls but my idea of romance certainly doesn't include running around hills, throwing shawls up in the air and hugging my beau over and over again.
If I could Indianize my name, I think I would call myself, Madhumita! Nehehe
On second thought...
The Admirable Ones!
Being a tv-addict, I really admire many of those lovely faces on TV, not because they're good-looking, but mainly because of their personality.
Here's a long list of the people I admire:
- My Dad ~ He raised me up since I was a lil brat and he's taught me many things indirectly.
- Oprah Winfrey ~ She's just so bloody influential and the Richest woman in the World!!!
- Anthony Bourdain ~ He's really got class. He takes Travel and Living to a whole new level!
- Nigella Lawson ~ A journalist and a fantastic cook!
- Steve Irwin ~ I've got loads of respect for this guy! He's done such amazing things!
- Teacher Navlin Philip ~ She brought me up, and never gave up on me!
- Aw Lee Mei & Chuah Su Chen ~ They define happy living! (Read my article!)
- Dr House ~ He's got such charisma. Blunt and Bold!
- Zorro and Batman ~ The Dark Knights are heroes without powers!
- Single moms ~ Pregnancy, birth, then raising kids, without men! Salute!
The world is made of such a great variety of people, we are blessed to be living with them all around us. We can never be exactly like them, and we shouldn't even try, but we must always remember that the souls that we admire is what makes life worth living, for every day in every way we are getting better in all ways.
It's officially Zara-fied!
It took a couple of hours but it's finally done. My previously dull blog has been revamped!
Special thanks goes to Lee Mei, for all her help in Zara-fying this blog. *hugs* Thank you very much Lee Mei!

Living Passionately!
Lazing on the couch with a mug of Green Tea and giving a good thought about many things, I realized, that there is a lot more to life than the usual terms of "Fun!"
I won't say I regretted these past few days since the holidays started, because I never did, even for a second. I had such a great quality time with all my good mates, going shopping, travelling with public transport (except taxi!), and just having a really good time. I've honestly never spent my holidays this well before, though I couldn't do much shopping and I owe Lee Mei and Su Chen for 20 bucks each, I really did enjoy myself all the way. The smiles and laughter, the lame jokes and silly things, it was truly fun.
Through out the ride home in Putra LRT and KTM, I felt a pang of guilt. Not to say, I've wasted a precious amount of time on money, but I discovered that there was so much that I haven't seen and done.
I've always believed that life is a journey, and maybe that's the reason why I enjoy traveling...even if its a bus ride or a KTM ride, I just love sitting by the window, and gazing at all the places I'm passing by.
To my cousins, I seem to be a Street Smart Girl, but I discovered that my 2 college buddies were the ones to really admire. Lee Mei and Su Chen really do know the twist and turns of traveling in KL. Going to KLCC with Putra LRT yesterday, made me realize how much KL has to offer.
Define Street Smart? I'll say it's basically knowing your way around, being prepared and well equipped with the right skills to face anything that happens while traveling and of course the ability to be independent. I guess I've got lots to learn.
I'm aware that I get bored very quickly. I don't like routines all that much anyway.
I feel that with the freedom that I've been finally given, there is so much I can do with it, but I'm not really doing it.
I'll say I'm very very lucky, as I've spent half of my holidays going mall-hopping with my best mates...but honestly, I don't want to visit another shopping mall in a long time.
From my experience this past week, I can conclude that:
- ALL shopping malls are the SAME! Every shopping mall has your usual eateries, theatres, bowling alleys and clothing/accessories stores (which are high-end, excessively priced and not worth buying)
- If you have no money, you’ll be one heck of a Depressed Shopper!Let’s face it, window shopping sucks! No matter how much you try and make yourself feel better by going “Oh Wow, that so cute” and “That’s really nice”, deep down, when you know you can’t buy it, what’s the point anyway.
- Simple foods in shopping malls are CRAZILY priced.I swear, if I was a food critic, there are a huge amount of restaurants in malls that will close down! RM9.80 for a bloody Nasi Lemak, made up of a miserable bowl of rice, tasteless oily sambal and other condiments! It’s disgraceful, as its not even worth 50cents. The aunty at the mamak stall makes so much better nasi lemak. Tourists must think we’re mad!
Please note that I am no shop-a-holic like some of my friends, and I get bored very easily. Although I do enjoy a bit of shopping, I can’t help but think sometimes that roadside stalls have so much more to offer.
My Mall-Hopping Experience!
1. Sunway Pyramid ~ Sakae Sushi (first time sushi experience) with Peter, Victoria, Lee Mei, Su Chen and Ryna.~ J.CO, Starbucks and Popular bookstore with Heva and Steph~ all over the place with Bernard
2. MidValley Megamall (+Gardens)~ all over the place with Su Chen, Lee Mei, Ryna, Jenny and Victoria
3. Summit USJ~ Lunch with Kevin
4. KLCC (+Pavillion)~ all over the place with Si Wei, Lee Mei and Zhao Wern
5. Subang Parade~ all over the place with my broke self
*I’m saving Times Square to go with Moses…someday…lol
*Other malls have been covered already with family and friends throughout the months.
The best part of the whole mall-hopping experience throughout the week is most definitely having tea at Chilli’s yesterday. I absolutely loved it. I decided that it would be a mark to end my mall-hopping week. It was most certainly enjoyable and incredibly heart-warming. Savouring such delicious comfort food with best mates! I just loved it.
I’ve still got about another half of my holidays to go and I’m going to spend it on traveling all over the place (except shopping malls)
I’ve seen so much of the things we call fun, the times of just enjoying ourselves, just us friends watching movies, hanging out, shopping for clothes and stuff. I most certainly did have a wonderful time. Now I’m off to l see other things in life. The quaint and simple things that me drive by. I’m very grateful to my awesome college mates for all that they’ve taught me about travel and living. The experience has definitely come in handy, and it’s something I’ll never forget.
I love you guys very much! Thank you all for inviting me for all your shopping trips! It was such great fun! =)
I won't say that I refuse to step foot in another shopping mall ever again, but it might be a long time till I visit one again. Nehehe.
I plan to live my life passionately from this moment on. Traveling from one little spot to the other, seeing the sights that are not always advertised grandly and tasting the richness of life itself.
Eat, Drink and Be Merry!
Cheers!
